Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Architectural Representative to promote SOPREMA products and systems within the Vaughan area. You will develop relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and distributors to grow our market share.

The role requires 3–5 years of sales experience in construction, strong knowledge of building envelope markets, and the ability to read architectural plans. Expect travel within the territory and occasional U.S. travel.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years sales experience in the construction market.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
• Bilingual is an asset.
• Extensive knowledge of construction markets in the assigned region.
• Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing and air barrier markets.
• Ability to present, sell and negotiate at executive levels.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the efforts of the sales force and the relationship with distributors and professionals.
• Develop plans for the local market to effectively promote SOPREMA products and services.
• Arrange meetings, demonstrations or seminars highlighting SOPREMA products using events like Lunch & Learns and Symposiums.
• Participate in industry trade shows and association meetings.
• Analyze market issues and trends and advise on pricing and strategy to gain market share.
• Communicate with industry professionals and liaise with head office departments.
• May take on additional functions as directed by the Sales Director.
