Job summary

Gensler is seeking a seasoned Architect in Canada to lead a team of architects and designers, driving concept through construction and coordinating with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, and civil consultants.

You will guide technical solutions, maintain project manuals and specs, and oversee site visits and submittals. A licensed Architect with 10+ years in commercial design is required, with Revit and Adobe CS proficiency. Great benefits and bonuses are offered.

• LEED, WELL, Passive House or related accreditation preferred.

Job description

As a Gensler Architect, it’s your job to lead a team of architects and technical designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. Leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build.

Your Role

• Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, civil consultants etc.
• Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
• Maintain project manual and specifications
• Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI’s during construction

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
• 10+ years of experience in a commercial design firm
• Experience in lifestyle projects (retail, hospitality, entertainment, etc.)
• Licensed Architect
• Experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures
• LEED, WELL, Passive House, or related accreditation preferred

The base salary range will be estimated between $97,000 - $115,000. Gensler’s total compensation package is multi-layered and includes a base salary, two annual bonuses paid in December and June.
