Tech Talent International is seeking an ARCHITECT / LEAD APPLICATION MODERNIZATION in the Montreal area for a large modernization program. Hybrid work with 2/3 onsite in Montreal, QC.

The role requires senior leadership across multidisciplinary teams, deep modernization expertise, and strong communication with both technical and business stakeholders. Expect high-impact architecture decisions and governance involvement.

Qualifications

• > 10 years in software development and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of existing systems, their architecture and dependencies.

• Develop strategies for slicing, refactoring, and incremental migration.
• Support the development teams in the implementation of solutions.
• Participate in technology governance and architecture reviews.
• Define the standards of quality, safety, performance and resilience.
• Supervise the implementation of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Contribute to the observability, monitoring and exploitation strategy.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, and Operations Teams.

Tech Talent International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.

We currently have a role as an ARCHITECT / LEAD APPLICATION MODERNIZATION with our large consulting client, working for a large modernization project for apublic sector, crown corporation in the Montreal area.

Role: ARCHITECT / LEAD APPLICATION MODERNIZATION

Type: Permanent or Long Term Contract

Location: Hybrid - Montreal, QC -(2/3 days per week onsite)

Salary: Base salary ranges from $150,000 - $165,000 (depending on experience) + 9% bonus + 4-5 weeks paid vacation + 6% RRSP matching + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks

Contract Pay Rate: $110 - $130/hr (freelance/incorporated)

Language Requirements: English & French

Support the progressive modernization of legacy applications towards the organization's target architectures. Act as a technical leader within a multidisciplinary squad and drive architecture decisions to accelerate transformation while reducing operational risks.
