Qualifications

MaxSys Staffing and Consulting is seeking an Application/Software Architect to support our Federal Government Client, in the modernization of internal applications through advanced front-end architecture and cloud technologies.

• Location: Remote within Canada
• Duration: August 2025 to July 2026
• Security Clearance: Reliability (mandatory)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess current front-end architecture of internal applications.
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems using ReactJS and Fluent UI.
• Develop reusable component libraries to ensure consistency across applications.
• Collaborate with development team to align with enterprise design standards.
• Create and implement migration strategies for transitioning to modern web technologies.
• Support integration with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Power Platform tools.
• Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams.
• Ensure accessibility, maintainability, and scalability of modernized applications.
• Utilize tools such as Azure DevOps, .NET 8, Entity Framework Core, and REST APIs.

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Active Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance (must be valid at the time of application).
• A certificate, diploma, or degree in Computer Science or a related field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Advanced experience within the past 2 years in: Application development using Microsoft Azure Cloud Services, and Application development using ReactJS
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience within the past eight (8) years in: Application architecture and modernization, Front-end development using modern frameworks and working with cloud-hosted applications and services

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Experience with Microsoft Fluent UI, .NET Core/.NET 5+, and Azure SQL.
• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Experience working on Government of Canada cloud modernization initiatives.
