Job summary

Wright Tree Service, Inc. is seeking Arborist Apprentice in Canada to grow with a safety‑driven team. You will assist with pruning, tree removal, planting, and health assessments while learning from experienced arborists and using professional equipment in diverse outdoor conditions.

Competitive hourly pay of 25–35 CAD, based on experience and certifications, plus comprehensive benefits, PPE and ongoing development opportunities within a 100% employee‑owned company.

Qualifications

• Must be able to climb.
• Valid Class 5 drivers' license with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Current First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pruning and trimming trees to maintain healthy growth and structure.
• Assist in tree removal and disposal of limbs, branches, and debris.
• Participate in tree planting and soil management.
• Identify tree diseases, pests, and other health issues.
• Operate and maintain arborist tools and equipment (chainsaws, ropes, aerial lifts, stump grinders).
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE including helmets, gloves, and harnesses.
