Job summary

Wright Tree Service, Inc. in Vancouver, BC, is hiring a Certified Utility Arborist (CUA) for a full-time role.

You will trim, prune, and remove trees to protect utility infrastructure, operate chainsaws and aerial lifts, and supervise crew members while maintaining safety standards. The position offers an hourly wage of CAD 35–45, with comprehensive medical and dental benefits, PPE and climbing gear provided, employee ownership, and ongoing AUA program training.

Qualifications

• Certified Utility Arborist (CUA).
• Valid Class 3 or D driver’s license with air endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• Pre-employment drug screening.
• First Aid with CPR or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather and environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Trim, prune, and remove trees or branches that pose a risk to utility infrastructure.
• Use industry-standard techniques to safely remove trees without causing damage.
• Operate equipment such as chainsaws, pole saws, aerial lifts, chipper trucks, and cranes.
• Train and supervise crew members in safe practices around high-voltage equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of vegetation management activities.
• Document completed work for utility or regulatory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and protect nearby habitats.
• Perform other duties as required.
