Job summary

An AR Specialist is sought for a 2-month contract in Burnaby with an international company. The role focuses on collections for the freight forwarding team and involves direct customer communication and collaboration with the internal sales group.

Expect to manage 95 accounts (20 active), support month-end and year-end processes, and operate in a four-person AR team plus a supervisor and manager. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in collections.
• Experience with Oracle ERP or similar ERP systems.
• Proficient in Excel with VLOOKUP and basic formulas.

Responsibilities

• Manage collections for the freight forwarding team.
• Handle 95 accounts, with 20 highly active needing hands-on support.
• Communicate primarily via email, with phone calls as needed; coordinate with internal sales.
• Support month-end and year-end collections pressures.
• Work within a team of 4 AR specialists plus supervisor and manager.

This is a 2-month contract to fill in for someone currently on leave.

Who- the Company:

What- the Role:

• Primary focus: collections for the freight forwarding team
  • 95 accounts total, but only 20 are highly active and need hands-on support
• Communication: email-first, phone calls as needed; also liaising with internal sales team
• Urgency driven by month end and year end collections pressure
• Team structure: 4 AR specialists total (including this role), plus a supervisor and manager

Who- the Candidate:

• Experience: 3+ years in collections
• Software: Oracle (training provided; any sophisticated ERP background acceptable)
• Excel: VLOOKUPs and basic formulas sufficient

How Much:

$32-36/hr + 4% vacation pay.

Where:

Burnaby, 5 days’ onsite, along Skytrain line.
