Job summary

Koch Engineered Solutions is seeking an apprentice Steamfitter/Pipefitter to support pipe fabrication, assembly and installation in plant/refinery environments. You will assist with rigging, reading complex drawings and performing tasks safely with proper safety tickets.

Collaboration with team members and adherence to safety standards is essential. Experience with heights, field run installations, and safety certifications like H2S Alive, OSSA Fall Protection, and CSTS 20 is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Pipe fabrication, assembly, and installation experience.
  • Rigging and Hoisting experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex instructions and technical drawings.
  • Knowledge and experience with basic safety programs and documentation.

  • Experience working with flares and combustion equipment.
  • Experience working in plant or refineries environments.
  • Experience with pressure testing piping systems.
  • Experience with tubing and bending.
  • Prior experience with field run installation.
  • First Aid (Level A or C)
  • Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA)
  • Many other tickets would be considered an asset, please list all tickets when applying.
  • Experience working at heights.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 350’.
  • Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
