Job summary

Startec Compression & Process Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Millwright for our Calgary shop. You will support installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of stationary industrial machinery while progressing through the apprenticeship program.

Shift: 5:50 a.m. to 4:20 p.m., four days per week (10 hours per day). You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and contribute to a safety‑mocused, collaborative team environment in a dynamic fabrication setting.

Qualifications

• Registered as a Millwright apprentice, or eligible to register.
• Motivated to learn and complete the apprenticeship program.
• Ability to read isometric drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings and construction blueprints.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, standing, bending and crouching.
• Pre-employment functional assessment and alcohol/drug testing may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, mounting, and alignment of major equipment on skids and supports.
• Read, interpret, and redline construction drawings, isometrics, P&IDs and GA drawings.
• Operate hoisting and lifting equipment when trained and authorized.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow established procedures.
• Contribute to team goals and support engineering and fabrication activities.
