Job summary

Element Technical Services in Calgary, AB is actively hiring for an Apprentice Mechanic to support maintenance of Frac and Coiled Tubing equipment. The role includes a $2,000 signing bonus and on-the-job training with senior mechanics.

You will learn diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and field repair procedures while maintaining a safe, organized work area and supporting apprenticeship progress.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Coiled Tubing, Fracturing, and truck and trailer equipment is asset
• Strong computer and communications skills are an asset
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics
• Grade 12 education

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on Frac and Coiled Tubing equipment
• Assist in ensuring maintenance inspections are completed within designated timelines and documented as per industry standard
• Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical issues under the guidance of senior mechanics
• Complete paperwork efficiently and in a timely manner
• Record and trace equipment deficiencies
• Participate in safety meetings and provide feedback on equipment modifications and specifications
• Assist experienced mechanics with field repairs as required
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
