Job summary

Element Technical Services in Calgary, AB is actively hiring for an Apprentice Mechanic to support maintenance on frac and coiled tubing equipment. This full-time role offers hands-on training, safety-focused work, and a $2,000 signing bonus.

You will learn diagnostics, perform preventive tasks, and assist experienced mechanics in field repairs. Ideal candidates have Grade 12, a valid Class 5 license, and a mechanical mindset.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education is required.
• Valid Class 5 driver license is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Coiled Tubing, Fracturing, and truck/trailer equipment is an asset.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mechanics.
• Strong computer and communications skills are assets.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on Frac and Coiled Tubing equipment.
• Assist in ensuring maintenance inspections are completed within designated timelines and documented as per industry standard.
• Learn to diagnose and repair mechanical issues under the guidance of senior mechanics.
• Complete paperwork efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Record and track equipment deficiencies.
• Participate in safety meetings and provide feedback on equipment modifications and specifications.
• Assist experienced mechanics with field repairs as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
