Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking an entry-level Apprentice Mechanic to support maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and equipment while gaining hands-on experience under seasoned mentors.

You will learn preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and routine servicing while developing mechanical skills in a dynamic and safety-focused shop environment. This role offers growth opportunities within a growing company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred or equivalent.
• Willingness to attend training and pursue certification in heavy-duty mechanics.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety-conscious approach.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environment with heavy equipment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced mechanics with routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics of heavy trucks and construction equipment.
• Learn to perform preventative maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tool and parts inventory management.
• Observe and adhere to safety policies and procedures in shop and on job sites.
• Participate in technical training to develop mechanical skills and trade knowledge.
• Support the team in troubleshooting mechanical problems and repairing equipment under supervision.
