Job summary

Industrial Parts & Equipment Ltd. is seeking an apprentice mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders in our Regina shop.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience, an apprenticeship in heavy duty construction equipment, and the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics; Class 5 license is preferred. This is a full-time apprenticeship with safety-focused, quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Diagnose heavy equipment issues and perform repairs in a shop setting.
  • Read and interpret fault codes, service manuals, and schematics.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on heavy equipment.
  • Repair or replace worn components and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Complete service records and parts requisitions.
  • Assist with inspections and safety compliance.

At Industrial Parts and Equipment Ltd, we are a locally owned and operated heavy equipment repair and rental company. We're looking for an experienced Heavy Duty apprentice to join our team and help keep our fleet and customer equipment running at peak performance.

We are seeking an apprentice mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, and other industrial machinery. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on mechanical experience, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Key Abilities:
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues on heavy equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Read and interpret fault codes, service manuals, and equipment schematics.
  • Repair or replace worn/damaged components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and undercarriages.
  • Complete accurate service records, work orders, and parts requisitions.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
  • Eager to learn and work on all brands or heavy equipment.
  • Apprenticeship training in Heavy Duty Construction Equipment mechanics.
  • Skilled in using OEM specific programs to diagnose error codes / faults.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting hydraulic & electric schematics
  • Class 5 Drivers license (A/G endorsements favoured)
