Job summary

Country Hills Hyundai in Calgary, Alberta, is seeking a Lube & Tire Technician to perform routine maintenance and tire services in a fast-paced dealership environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and keen to grow with the team.

Enrollment in an automotive repair program is a plus. Valid driver’s license is required, and OSHA-safe shop practices are expected. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for OEM training and development.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service.
• Enrollment in an automotive repair program highly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate tools and shop equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes and fluid checks.
• Conduct tire services: mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, tread inspections.
• Complete multipoint inspections and document findings clearly.
• Identify basic maintenance concerns and communicate to senior staff.
• Follow OEM procedures and dealership workflows for quality and efficiency.
• Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as training progresses.

Overview

Position Summary

The Lube & Tire Technicianis responsible forperforming routine vehicle maintenance and tire servicesin accordance withOEM and dealership standards. This entry‑levelrole supports the Service Department by ensuringtimely,accurate, andhigh-qualitywork on customer and inventory vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detailoriented, and eager to grow within a professional dealership environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks.
• Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and tread inspections.
• Complete multipoint inspections and document findings on repair orders in a clear and consistent manner.
• Identify basic maintenance and safety concerns and communicate them to senior technicians or Service Advisors.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership workflows to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Properly use shop tools, lifts, torque equipment, and safety gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as skills and training progress.
• Support proper vehicle handling, including parking, moving, and preparing vehicles for service.
• Participate in required OEM or dealership training programs and development opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive maintenance or tire service experience is an asset, but not required.
• Enrollment in an automotive repair program high preferred, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service.
• Ability to safely operate tools, shop equipment, and vehicle lifts.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
