Job summary

Country Hills Hyundai in Calgary, part of the Kaizen Automotive Group, seeks a Lube & Tire Technician to perform routine maintenance and tire services in a fast-paced dealership setting. The entry-level position supports the Service Department with timely, accurate, high-quality work for customer and inventory vehicles.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a professional dealership environment, with opportunities for OEM training and development.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an automotive repair program is highly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service are expected.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks.
• Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and tread inspections.
• Complete multipoint inspections and document findings clearly.
• Identify basic maintenance and safety concerns and relay them to senior technicians or service advisors.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership workflows for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as skills develop.

Overview

Position Summary

The Lube & Tire Technicianis responsible forperforming routine vehicle maintenance and tire servicesin accordance withOEM and dealership standards. This entry-levelrole supports the Service Department by ensuringtimely,accurate, andhigh-qualitywork on customer and inventory vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined,detailoriented, and eager to grow within a professional dealership environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication tasks.
• Conduct tire services such as mounting, balancing, repairs, rotations, and tread inspections.
• Complete multipoint inspections and document findings on repair orders in a clear and consistent manner.
• Identify basic maintenance and safety concerns and communicate them to senior technicians or Service Advisors.
• Follow OEM repair procedures and dealership workflows to ensure consistent quality and efficiency.
• Properly use shop tools, lifts, torque equipment, and safety gear.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Assist technicians with basic repair tasks as skills and training progress.
• Support proper vehicle handling, including parking, moving, and preparing vehicles for service.
• Participate in required OEM or dealership training programs and development opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive maintenance or tire service experience is an asset, but not required.
• Enrollment in an automotive repair program high preferred, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive service.
• Ability to safely operate tools, shop equipment, and vehicle lifts.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow detailed instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Willingness to participate in OEM training and pursue technical development.
