Job summary

Ledcor is seeking skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Scaffolder for a major industrial expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. The role involves erecting, modifying and dismantling scaffold systems, reading drawings, installing platforms and fall protection, and maintaining safety at heights and in confined spaces.

Applicants should have a Journeyperson Scaffolder ticket (or be registered as an Apprentice), fall protection and confined space tickets, and be prepared for a 10 on/4 off or 5

Qualifications

  • Industrial construction experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work safely at heights and in high traffic areas.
  • Fall protection and confined space tickets are required.
  • Apprentice or Journeyperson tracings: registration with prov./SAIA program as applicable.
  • Project online orientations must be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffold systems (tube & clamp, system scaffold) per drawings and site requirements.
  • Read and interpret scaffold drawings and blueprints to ensure safe construction.
  • Install platforms, guardrails, access ladders, and fall protection systems.
  • Inspect scaffolding components and completed structures for safety and compliance.
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Complete FLHAs and follow site safety procedures, including fall protection and permit systems.
  • Handle and organize scaffold materials and equipment efficiently.
  • Support site housekeeping and coordination with other trades; perform general labour duties.
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, upholding Ledcor safety and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffold systems (tube & clamp, system scaffold) in accordance with drawings and site requirements
  • Read and interpret scaffold drawings and blueprints to ensure safe and accurate construction
  • Install platforms, guardrails, access ladders, and fall protection systems
  • Inspect scaffolding components and completed structures to ensure safety and compliance
  • Work safely at heights and in confined spaces
  • Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including fall protection and permit systems
  • Handle, transport, and organize scaffold materials and equipment efficiently
  • Support site housekeeping, coordination with other trades, and general labour duties as required
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Scaffolder ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Apprentice Scaffolder must be registered with a provincial training authority or SAIA program
  • Previous industrial construction experience preferred
  • Ability to work safely at heights and high traffic areas
  • Fall protection and confined space ticket
  • Valid government ID
  • Project online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
  • Start Date: Mid July 2026
  • Work schedule: 10 days on / 4 days off or 5 days on / 2 days off
  • Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
  • Extended health benefits provided by CLAC
  • Weekly payment of Wages
