Job summary

The role focuses on concrete forming systems, reading drawings, and maintaining high safety standards on site. Ideal candidates include Journeyperson or Apprentice carpenters with 4+ years of experience and concrete forming expertise; must pass orientations and provide government-issued ID.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Carpenter ticket or Apprentice (Levels 3–4) registered with a provincial training authority.
  • Minimum 4 years of carpentry experience for non-ticketed carpenters.
  • Experience with concrete forming and engineered forming systems.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to prepare layouts, select materials, and plan work activities.
  • Construct, install, and dismantle traditional and engineered concrete forming systems.
  • Measure, mark, cut, and assemble materials according to project requirements.
  • Plan work sequences and methods to complete tasks efficiently and avoid costly errors or rework.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it is level, square, plumb, and built to specifications.
  • Maintain Ledcor's high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and within project timelines.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to prepare layouts, select materials, and plan work activities
  • Construct, install, and dismantle traditional and engineered concrete forming systems
  • Measure, mark, cut, and assemble materials accurately according to project requirements
  • Plan work sequences and methods to complete tasks efficiently and avoid costly errors or rework
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it is level, square, plumb, and built to specifications

  • Must be able to provide government-issued photo identification
  • Successfully complete all required project orientations
Work Conditions
  • Work schedule: 10 days on, 4 days off
  • Extended health benefits provided through CLAC
  • Weekly payment of wages
  • No camp accommodation or travel allowance provided
  • Ideal for candidates residing in the Greater Edmonton region
