Job summary

Ledcor Construction, Inc. in Edmonton is hiring a Journeyperson Carpenter to join our infrastructure team working on the Edmonton LRT expansion. You will read drawings, build formwork, and help ensure quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has a provincially recognized carpentry certification, solid heavy-rail project experience, and strong teamwork. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and long-term opportunities within Ledcor's safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

  • Provincially recognized journeyperson certification in Carpentry.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience for non-certified journeypersons.
  • Experience on major infrastructure and bridge projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean 3-year abstract.
  • CSTS-2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS 2015, ESC Fall Protection, Confined Space and Elev. Work Platform (training provided).

  • Understand concrete forming and engineered forming systems to accurately build concrete forms
  • Skilled with traditional, PERI, Aluma and EFCO formwork
  • Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb, and the right size, shape, and location
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality

Responsibilities:

Work Conditions:
  • Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day with potential overtime required over the summer months on the weekend
  • Work in all weather conditions year-round and willing to lend a hand where needed
