Job summary

Ledcor is seeking skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright for a major industrial expansion in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. You will install, align, and maintain mechanical equipment and support safety and quality on site.

The role requires a Journeyperson Millwright ticket or active Apprenticeship registration, and prior industrial construction experience is preferred. Start date is mid July 2026, with a 10-on/4-off schedule and CLAC extended health benefits.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Millwright ticket from a recognized provincial training authority.
  • Apprentice Millwrights must be registered with a provincial training authority.
  • Previous industrial construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Install, align, assemble, and maintain industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Perform precision alignment and equipment setting.
  • Read blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings to support installation.
  • Execute equipment installation, inspections, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Support rigging and hoisting for installation with crane operators.
  • Complete safety procedures, permits, and lockout/tagout as required.
  • Operate and inspect tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining Ledcor safety and quality standards.

Are you a skilled Apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright looking for an exciting opportunity to work on a major industrial project?

At Ledcor, we take pride in safety, quality, and craftsmanship, and we’re looking for dedicated professionals to join our team for a major expansion project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Install, align, assemble, and maintain industrial mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, conveyors, rotating equipment)
  • Perform precision alignment, leveling, and equipment setting using proper tools and procedures
  • Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings to support accurate installation
  • Execute equipment installation, inspections, and troubleshooting activities
  • Support rigging and hoisting for equipment installation and placement alongside crane operators and equipment operators
  • Complete FLHAs and follow all site safety procedures, including permit systems and lockout/tagout
  • Operate and inspect tools, alignment equipment, and mechanical systems safely and efficiently
  • Complete tasks safely, efficiently, and within project deadlines, following Ledcor’s high standards for safety and quality
Requirements
  • Journeyperson Millwright ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Apprentice Millwrights must be registered with a provincial training authority
  • Previous industrial construction experience preferred
  • Strong team player with willingness to support where required
  • Valid government ID
  • Project online orientations must be completed
Work Conditions
