Job summary

Nors Group is seeking an Apprentice Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (421A) to join the London Service team. This role is for someone starting as a 1st year or enrolled in a 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician program (off road).

You will actively participate in the apprenticeship, learn the trade, and support service tasks with supervision. You will follow safety policies, diagnose faults, complete repairs with computer diagnostics and submit accurate reports, while working toward Red seal 421A

Qualifications

• Apprentice path for 1st year or enrolled 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician (off road).
• Active participation in the apprenticeship process and dedication to learning the trade.
• Willingness to obtain Red seal 421A licence.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety processes and procedures; keep safety as a core value.
• Proactively contact customers to identify machine faults.
• Diagnose and repair including computer connections to identify fault codes.
• Submit service reports and time cards accurately and promptly.
• Order parts and follow up to ensure availability for service work.
• Report to Supervisor any potential timeline overruns and new issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned; operate safely and efficiently.

We are looking for a Apprentice Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (421A) to join our Service team in London.

Summary

The Apprentice Technician role is for someone who is looking to become a 1st or who is already enrolled as a 2nd year Heavy Equipment Technician (off road). The successful candidate must actively participate in the apprenticeship process, and be dedicated to learning the trade.

Expected Salary range (per hour)

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Duties And Responsibilities

• To follow all safety processes and procedures, and keep safety as the number one value;
• Proactive customer contact in order to properly identify machine faults;
• Timely and accurate diagnosis and repair including computer connection/diagnosis with machine to identify fault code;
• Accurate and timely service report submissions (includes time cards);
• Accurate ordering of required parts and follow-up to ensure parts are received in order to complete the assigned service work;
• Immediately reporting to your Supervisor possibilities of exceeding the quoted timeline and describing newly discovered circumstances and or causes;
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for all aspects of assigned tasks, including but not limited to: improving operating efficiencies and overall customer satisfaction through the timely completion of shop service work, responsible for the return of un-used parts upon the completion of shop service work;
• Abide by Nors’s safety policies and report all hazardous conditions and unsafe work procedures;.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Diploma in heavy equipment/ Post-secondary diploma .
• Similar work experience, Heavy equipment knowledge
