Job summary

Finning is hiring a Service Technician apprentice in Terrace, BC to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Caterpillar equipment while upholding safety and quality standards.

This role offers hands-on CAT certified training with a 5x2 shift, competitive benefits, and strong emphasis on customer service and safety culture. Apprentices in 2nd–4th year are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year apprentices considered
• Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems
• Experience with construction, forestry and mining equipment is an asset
• Engine and/or power generation experience would be beneficial

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Caterpillar equipment.
• Perform inspections and identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and engine issues.
• Use advanced diagnostic tools and technology to efficiently resolve equipment failures.
• Complete repairs and preventative maintenance to high safety and quality standards.
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to provide timely service updates.
• Support a strong safety culture and follow all site and company safety requirements.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that keeps equipment operating at peak performance

Important Details

• This position is based out of Terrace, Monday - Friday (5x2) shift
