Medallion Energy Services Inc. is seeking Apprentice Electricians for a full-time industrial construction role in Canada. The position offers steady work and a pathway to develop specialized electrical skills in oil and gas projects.

Ideal candidates will be indentured, hold a valid driver’s license, and be eligible to work in Canada. Industry-specific certifications are a plus, with flexibility for shifts, overtime, and weekends.

Formación

• Must be indentured into the trade.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Industrial oil & gas experience is an asset.
• Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) is an asset.
• Valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, Fall Arrest, Aerial Work Platform and CSO certifications are an asset.
• Flexibility for shift work, overtime and weekend availability is an asset.

Responsabilidades

• Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and electrical code specifications to determine layouts of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Tests electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Installs, examines, replaces or repairs AC/DC motors and drivers, PLCs, 480V power, 120V control circuits, 4160 volt switchgear, transformers, motors, starters, relays and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical contrails.
• Installs, examines, replaces or repairs electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber optic, and coaxial cables assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and testing of various electrical systems (including power distribution equipment).
• Sizes and installs electrical circuits including panels, wire size and type, conduit, protective devices, switches, and related equipment needed to comply with CEC and/or NEC.
• Quickly repairs electrical failure and replace parts where incorrect applications could cause danger and hazardous conditions.
• Corrects wiring and connections on machinery controls where incorrect applications could cause danger and hazardous conditions.
• Fabricates, installs and/or runs conduit, 3-phase work, motor terminations, troubleshooting and panel work.
• Works on systems operating at 240 volts wye, 480 volts wye, 480 volts delta, 4160 volt switchgear, ammeters and Pc’s.
• Conducts preventions maintenance programs and keeps maintenance records.
• May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.
• Complies with standards and procedures of the medallion health and safety manual and occupational health and safety regulations.
• Must make reasonable efforts in trade advancement.
