You will work under a qualified Journeyman to install and retrofit building automation control systems in construction environments, gaining hands-on experience with low voltage wiring and automation equipment.

The role emphasizes learning about building systems integrations, interpreting diagrams, and contributing to safe, precise installations while progressing toward a journeyman status.

Qualifications

• Indentured Electrical Apprentice in Alberta (1st-3rd year) with conduit experience.
• Knowledge of electrical theory and terminology.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ambitious learner seeking progression in building systems.
• Experience with low voltage and with HVAC/building automation is an asset.
• Ability to read and draw simple electrical sketches and schematics.
• Excellent command of English (written and oral).
• Commercial/Construction installations experience.
• Class 5 driver’s license; clean driving record.
• Must live in the Lethbridge area.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, shop drawings, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts.
• Install conduits, pull low voltage controls and data cabling, and terminate wiring.
• Install and commission control equipment and panels.
• Perform troubleshooting and issue identification on relays and controls.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Work under supervision to install building automation systems in new or existing buildings.
