Flyer Electric is seeking Apprentice Electricians for the Coteau Creek Hydro Station project in Saskatchewan. Wage depends on apprentice year and hours, with a 10 days on / 4 days off shift pattern (10-hour days).

Qualifications

• Apprentice certificates required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain good relations with site personnel and customers.
• Comply with Health and Safety manual and project policies.
• Follow directions and participate in training and mentoring to learn drawings and specs.
• Operate tools safely and efficiently on various installations.
• Attend site meetings and trainings as required.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for Apprentice Electricians to join our team on our Coteau Creek Hydro Station project.

Wage: Dependant on Apprentice Year and Hours.

Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off (10-hour days)

Note: This is not a camp position. Accommodations are not provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain good customer relations with site personnel and customers
• Comply with Company’s corporate Health and Safety manual
• Adhere to the Company and the customers policies and procedures as they apply to each project
• Ensure project safety policies are followed at all times
• Responsible for efficient use of materials, equipment, and performance of all field related activities for each tasks/project
• Ensure field work is executed in compliance with instructions given
• Be able to take directions and be receptive to training and mentoring
• Apply yourself to learn and comprehend drawings and specifications
• Proficient tool usage, both personal and supplied
• Work with multiple types of installations
• Attend daily/weekly site meetings and all training required
• Maintain a professional image and a high level of service with customers and co-workers during all contact, displaying positive behaviour, attitude, and workmanship habits in a respectful and empathetic way
• Follow the direction of your supervisor in the proper use of tools, materials, and techniques for most efficient electrical installations

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Current Apprenticeship Certificates
• Current Fall Pro and EWP Certificates
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel regularly
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
• Clear & maintain a clean driving abstract and drug/alcohol clearance.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
