Job description

Position Summary

Apprentice Electricians possess the full range of knowledge required to install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems for various purposes, including climate control, security, lighting, power sources, and communications. Our shops are located in Calgary, Fort Saskatchewan, Bonnyville, and Saskatoon. The E&I team works on local projects as well as site projects throughout Western Canada.

Position Details

• Calgary-based work
• 5/2 shift
• 10-hour days
• Candidates not local to Calgary must be willing to travel at their own expense
• Start date: April 1

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be a registered Apprentice with the appropriate provincial authority
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• EHT experience is an asset

Core Accountabilities

• Install, alter, repair, and maintain electrical systems and related equipment
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications
• Plan layouts and illustrate electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
• Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and defects, ensuring compliance with codes
