Job description

Position Summary:

Apprentice electrician who is eager to learn, develop their skills, and grow within the company.

Responsibilities:
  1. Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations.
  2. Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
  3. Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
  4. Install, replace, and repair lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels.
  5. Splice, join, and connect wires to fixtures and components to form circuits.
  6. Test circuit continuity using testing equipment to ensure system safety and compatibility after installation, replacement, or repair.
  7. Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, replacing faulty components as needed.
  8. Connect electrical power to audio-visual communication equipment, signaling devices, heating, and cooling systems, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  1. First, second, third, or fourth-year apprentice electrician ticket.
  2. Strong command of the English language, both written and oral.
  3. Proficient in email communication.
  4. Strong attention to detail.
  5. Experience with commercial/construction installations is a plus.
  6. Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.
