Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is seeking an Apprentice Electrician (3rd or 4th year) for work in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB; Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8-hour days; Duration: 3 months; Base hourly rate: $37.03–$41.66; Start: September 8, 2026; Benefits and RRSP provided as per collective agreement. Responsibilities include assisting with renovations, installing lighting and low-voltage wiring, conduit work, reading drawings, and supporting journeyperson electricians.

Qualifications

• Valid Apprenticeship required.
• Certifications CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, MEWP and Fall Protection.
• Strong knowledge of safety hazards and precautions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with office renovations and commercial upgrades.
• Install and replace lighting fixtures, switches and controls.
• Support electrical rough-in and finishing work.

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking a ApprenticeElectrician (3rd or 4th yr)forwork in Fort Saskatchewan, AB:

• Location: Fort Saskatchewan, AB
• Schedule Rotation: Monday - Friday, 8-hour days
• Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
• Base hourly rate from $37.03-$41.66
• Position starts September 8, 2026
• Duration - 3 months

What You Will Be Working On

• Assisting with office renovations, tenant improvements, and commercial building upgrades.
• Installing and replacing lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles, and lighting controls.
• Performing lighting retrofits and energy-efficiency upgrades.
• Installing conduit, cable tray, and low-voltage wiring systems.
• Pulling, terminating, and testing electrical conductors.
• Assisting with electrical rough-in and finishing work for renovated office spaces.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and blueprints under the direction of a Journeyperson Electrician.
• Troubleshooting basic electrical issues and supporting commissioning activities.
• Installing and relocating electrical devices to support changing office layouts.
• Operating lifts and elevated work platforms (EWP) as required.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Following all company safety policies, hazard assessments, and PPE requirements.

• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015
• MEWP
• Fall Protection
• Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
• The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
• Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
• Must have a valid Class 5 drivers license to operate supplied company vehicles onsite.
• Must provide own transportation to site.
