Skyservice is seeking an apprentice Avionics Technician to develop hands-on skills in troubleshooting and repairing avionics on business jets at our Dorval facility. You will learn under experienced technicians and contribute to high safety and service standards while progressing toward an E-licensed certification.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, with training opportunities and a clear path for professional growth within the Skyservice aviation group.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an E-licensed Avionics Technician with minimum program progress.
• Previous apprenticeship experience is an asset.
• Experience with business aircraft is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Learn to troubleshoot avionics systems and components under supervision.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing your skills as an apprentice by troubleshooting electrical systems/components, installing, modifying and repairing aircraft avionics, as contracted by the customer, with the support of experienced Avionics Technicians;
• Supporting license technicians during various maintenance activity on aircrafts;
• Accomplish maintenance under technicians supervision;
• Interact and work cooperatively with other trade personnel;
• Management and Customer Representatives while performing work in order to meet project directives;
• Attend training courses as directed;
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Working towards becoming a "E" licensed Avionics Technician;
• Previous apprentice related experience is an asset;
• Background in working on Business Aircraft types, an asset;
• Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate strong organizational skills;
• Must be attentive to detail;
• Positive attitude;
• Team oriented;
• Good communication skills.

EDUCATION:

• In the process of finalizing a recognized Avionics Program, or equivalent, is a minimum requirement.
