Job summary

Skyservice Business Aviation in Dorval, Canada, invites applications for an apprentice Avionics Technician role. You will develop skills by troubleshooting electrical systems, installing and repairing avionics under the supervision of licensed technicians in a fast-paced environment.

The position emphasizes attention to detail, teamwork and the ability to handle pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards. Training opportunities and relocation support are provided.

Qualifications

• Working toward an E licensed Avionics Technician.
• Background in working on Business Aircraft types is an asset.
• Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate organizational skills.
• Must be attentive to detail.
• Positive attitude and team orientation.

Responsibilities

• Developing your skills as an apprentice by troubleshooting electrical systems/components, installing, modifying and repairing aircraft avionics, as contracted by the customer, with the support of experienced Avionics Technicians.
• Supporting license technicians during various maintenance activity on aircrafts.
• Accomplish maintenance under technicians supervision.
• Interact and work cooperatively with other trade personnel.
• Attend training courses as directed.
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing your skills as an apprentice by troubleshooting electrical systems/components, installing, modifying and repairing aircraft avionics, as contracted by the customer, with the support of experienced Avionics Technicians;

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Working towards becoming a E licensed Avionics Technician;
• Previous apprentice related experience is an asset;
• Background in working on Business Aircraft types, an asset;
• Ability to work under pressure and to demonstrate strong organizational skills;
• Must be attentive to detail;
• Positive attitude;
• Team oriented;
• Good communication skills.

EDUCATION:

• In the process of finalizing a recognized Avionics Program, or equivalent, is a minimum requirement.
