Job summary

Skyservice is seeking a seasoned avionics technician to perform and oversee avionics tasks in hangar and ramp environments.

You will lead major inspections on business aircraft, mentor junior technicians, ensure complete documentation, and certify components in line with Transport Canada standards. This role requires attention to detail, strong teamwork, and flexibility for weekend/night shifts.

Qualifications

  • Valid Transport Canada E license and related experience.
  • Experience working on business aircraft is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and ensure proper completion of all avionics activities as contracted by the customer, both in the hangar and on the ramp.
  • Act as lead on major inspections and modifications of aircraft projects and oversee junior technicians and/or apprentices.
  • Ensure aircraft documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Ensure that all components installed on aircraft are properly certified.
  • Carry out duties per the appropriate avionics control manual and conform to Transport Canada standards.
  • Attend training courses as directed by management.
  • Adhere to the Safety Management System Policy.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend training courses as directed by company management;
  • Adhere to the Safety Management System Policy;

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Valid Transport Canada E license is required;
  • Minimum of five (5) years related experience;
  • Background in working on Business Aircraft types, an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate strong organizational skills;
  • Must be attentive to detail; Positive attitude; Team oriented; Good communication skills.
  • Flexible to work shifts assigned. (Weekend/Night)
EDUCATION:
  • Completed Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Engineer program or equivalent.
