Job summary

Sales Talent, Inc. is partnering with a fast-scaling hardware technology company to recruit its first dedicated applications engineer.

The role focuses on sizing, integration, and technical discovery of a plug‑and‑play smart motor for OEMs and integrators across North America, with on-site demos and support. The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years in applications engineering, strong CAD skills (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks), Python and PLC programming, and familiarity with Modbus, EtherNet/IP, or CAN.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years as an applications engineer or similar role.
• Mechatronics background is ideal.
• CAD proficiency required (Fusion 360 or SolidWorks).
• Familiar with Python and PLC programming; experience with Modbus, EtherNet/IP, or CAN.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical discovery and fit analysis for key accounts: sizing, selecting, and integrating the motor into customer machines.
• Lead demos, integration calls, and on-site installs and troubleshooting with the sales team across North America.
• Provide feedback to R&D by converting customer needs and recurring issues into product input and docs.
