Job summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking an Application Analyst to support a broad range of systems and applications across Oakville, Milton, and Georgetown sites. You will participate in project work to evaluate, procure, and implement new applications, while coordinating user training and creating manuals.

The role requires an IT degree or diploma and at least five years in a healthcare Applications Analyst position, with MEDITECH Expanse experience and strong MS 365 skills.

Qualifications

  • Information Technology Degree or Diploma or equivalent education/work experience.
  • Minimum 5 yrs experience in an Applications Analyst role in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 product line including SharePoint Online and Power Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for a broad range of systems and applications.

Job Description

The Application Analyst reports to the Manager, Applications and Integration. They will mainly provide operational support for a broad range of systems and applications; however, will also participate in a variety of projects to assist with evaluating, procuring, and implementing new applications. The analyst must have the ability to organize and conduct user training, prepare/update training and reference manuals and other support material, and become familiar with other core applications and the underlying technical environment in order to provide backup for other application analysts and participate in the on call rotation.

Qualifications

  • Information Technology Degree or Diploma or equivalent education/work experience
  • A minimum 5 yrs experience in an Applications Analyst role in a healthcare environment
  • Sound knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse
  • Previous experience MEDITECH upgrades; software installations and system rebuilds
  • Experienced in implementing/supporting wide variety of systems/applications, workflow analysis, and benefits maximization
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 product line including SharePoint online and Power Platforman asset
  • Excellent communication/business analysis/problem solving/root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience with writing NPR/M-AT reports or SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation an asset
  • Knowledge of interface engines and scripting applications an asset
  • PMP and/or ITIL designation an asset
  • Previous experience training adult computer users with positive outcomesAble to handle multiple responsibilities with competing priorities in a fast-paced progressive environment
  • Must be well-organized, self-directed, and be able to interact patiently and effectively with staff
  • Must be physically able to do the job
  • Satisfactory employment and attendance record required

Hours:Monday to Friday; 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800-1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary:$44.675 to $55.844 per hour
