We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Products & Technology team in Toronto in the role of Application Support Analyst . You will be part of a growing product development team that delivers new and existing products and services within the Pensions group.

As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows
Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges
Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
Contribute to the identification and escalation of gaps within the business requirements and testing scenarios that could impact testing
Anticipate issues and make recommendations to mitigate risks; support ad-hoc analysis to identify the root cause of issues and resolve issues in a timely manner ensuring minimal disruption to stakeholders
Extracting data from various source systems and data stores
Participate in activities related to year-end system updates
Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business
Understanding and communicating financial and operational impact of any changes
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with multiple levels of clients, team, and partners
Collaborating with IT and Business staff to recommend and develop solutions for identified business requirements and needs
To succeed in this role, you have:
Post-secondary education / accreditation in job related field or related experience, as well as additional course work in pension administration (PPAC designation or progress towards PPAC designation)
Good understanding of Pension Administration
A track record of “thinking outside the box” and looking at a challenge through multiple lenses
Experience of applying innovative solutions and working with business stakeholders to challenge the status quo, deliver solutions that tackle business problems and meet business requirements
Knowledge of systems development life cycle, IT processes and ability to grasp complex technical concepts and translate it into business language
Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines
Experience in writing Non-Functional Requirements
Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to evaluate complex situations and synthesize relevant information
Excellent communication skills and ability to share and exchange ideas with your team members and management
High integrity and discretion to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Eagerness to constantly learn and update your skills in our cross-platform environment, and you like to share knowledge with others
Knowledge and understanding SQL and database concepts will be an asset
