Job summary

Trail Appliances is seeking an Appliance Service Technician Apprentice to gain hands-on experience in repairs and diagnostics while enrolled in the Alberta Appliance Service Technician apprenticeship program.

You will use manufacturers' manuals and bulletins, maintain clear customer communication, and adhere to safety standards. The role includes mentorship and growth opportunities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in Alberta Appliance Service Technician apprenticeship program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem-solving.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy appliances.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate appliance repairs and diagnostics using manufacturers' manuals and bulletins.
• Communicate repair findings clearly to customers and report service concerns to management.
• Document repairs, damage, and parts usage accurately while ensuring proper authorization.
• Engage in training programs and support junior apprentices in their development.
• Follow all safety protocols, maintain equipment, and uphold cleanliness in work areas.

What you’ll be doing:

• Valid driver’s license and enrollment in the Alberta Appliance Service Technician apprenticeship program.

• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy appliances while following safety protocols.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:

Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
