Job summary

Trail Appliances AB/SK is seeking an Appliance Service Technician Apprentice to gain hands-on experience repairing and diagnosing appliances.

You will use manufacturers’ service manuals, communicate findings to customers, and maintain high service standards in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in the Alberta Appliance Service Technician apprenticeship program.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Valid driver’s license and eligibility to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate appliance repairs and diagnostics using manufacturers’ manuals and bulletins.
• Communicate repair findings clearly to customers and report service concerns to management.
• Document repairs, damage, and parts usage accurately while ensuring proper authorization.
• Engage in training programs and support junior apprentices in their development.
• Follow all safety protocols, maintain equipment, and uphold cleanliness in work areas.

• Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
• Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy appliances while following safety protocols.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:

Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm
