Job Description

About this job:

We are seeking an Appian Application Team Lead (100%) to join our Group IT Life and Health Underwriting and Claims application team. You will help drive the development and adoption of software solutions using the Appian Platform within PartnerRe. This role can be based in Dublin or Toronto, working with internal business stakeholders and IT teams globally.

About the role:

  • Manage and coach a team of Appian Developers based in Dublin
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to analyze, define, improve, and evolve existing solutions
  • Manage the SDLC process for responsible Appian-based applications
  • Oversee, maintain, and enhance solutions in production to ensure performance, availability, compliance with ITSM and change procedures, and stakeholder satisfaction

Qualifications

About you:

  • IT-related university degree
  • Experience as Line Manager and Technical Lead/Architect roles
  • Strong English communication skills and a proactive attitude to drive solution development, process optimization, and simplification
  • 5+ years of experience building workflow solutions using the Appian platform
  • Experience with ITSM, application monitoring, debugging, impact analysis, and defect fixing
  • Experience in Agile and Azure DevOps environments
  • Knowledge of managing applications with sensitive personal data within strict security frameworks
