Job summary

Skyline Living in Ontario is seeking a dedicated maintenance professional to clean, repair and maintain apartment complexes and common areas. You will perform housekeeping tasks, light repairs, and ensure the property looks presentable for residents and guests.

The role requires physical stamina, punctuality and the ability to work with minimal supervision at multiple sites, coordinating with contractors as needed and prioritizing safety and quality in every task.

Qualifications

• Criminal record check
• Own transportation with valid driver's licence
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including bending, lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs
• Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
• Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
• Advertise vacancy
• Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
• Perform minor repairs on appliances
• Perform safety and security checks
• Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
• Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
• Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
• Work with minimal supervision
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
