Job summary

Skyline Living is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for on-site work at apartment communities in Tecumseh, Ontario. You will perform cleaning, basic repairs and safety checks, and assist with showing available units to prospective tenants.

With 3–5 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s licence, you’ll work at multiple sites with minimal supervision. On-site housing options and other benefits are available.

Qualifications

3–5 years of maintenance/related experience.
Experience with general building upkeep and safety checks preferred.
Valid driver’s licence may be required for multi-location work.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
Operate industrial vacuums to remove debris and waste.
Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
Make minor repairs to HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems; contact tradespersons for major repairs.
Advertise vacancies and show units to prospective tenants.
Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs such as painting and drywall.

Empty trash cans and other waste containers
Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
Advertise vacancy
Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment
Perform minor repairs on appliances
Perform safety and security checks
Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants
Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies
Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures
Work with minimal supervision
Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
