Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is seeking an Anchoring and Wrapping Associate for our Johnstown, ON distribution centre. You will wrap pallets with an automated machine, manage pallet flow, and ensure accurate loading on trailers.

The role requires long periods of standing, physical lifting, and adherence to safety standards; onboarding includes three days of paid machine training and in-house certification as mandatory.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow direction.
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift heavy items for extended periods of time.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Voice picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Wrap pallets and skids using an automated wrapping machine.
• Organize and account for pallets to be loaded on assigned trailers.
• Verify and place pallets in assigned shipping lanes.
• Conduct physical inventories.
• Sorts and lanes items and pallets from transfer racks and lanes.
• Assist in pallet consolidation for loading.
• Complete full pallet picks from staging areas.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Promote safety and comply with OSHA and WHMIS standards.
• Pick store orders as required.
• Operate an electric pallet truck pulling 2 skids at a time.
• Perform various warehouse duties as prescribed by the supervisor.

What You'll Be Doing

• Wrap pallets and skids using an automated wrapping machine
• Organize and account for pallets to be loaded on assigned trailers

As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement.

Sunday to Wednesday, 3:00pm - 1:30am
