Giant Tiger Wholesale in Brockville, Ontario is hiring a permanent Warehouse Order Picker (Freezer) to support inventory for 270+ stores. The role involves safe, efficient pallet handling in a cold storage environment and operating specialized equipment

On-site, you will join a team focused on safety, accuracy, and timely shipments. Training and certification are provided, with overtime premiums for overnight work and CSA footwear allowances.

Qualifications

• Must comply with OSHA/WHMIS standards.
• Standing, walking, stairs; repetitive heavy lifting.
• Comfortable in a loud, fast-paced warehouse.
• Must be punctual and detail-oriented.
• Must work in cold environments, down to -18 C.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders to supply 270+ Giant Tiger stores.
• Stack items on skids ensuring safe, accurate piles.
• Lift boxes up to 50 lb while following safety guidelines.
• Operate electric double pallet truck safely and efficiently.
• Match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers.
• Verify accuracy and meet shipment deadlines.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Assist other departments as directed by supervisor.

About This Role

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent Warehouse Order Picker (Freezer) for our distribution centre in Brockville, Ontario! What You’ll Be Doing

• Pick orders to supply over 270 Giant Tiger stores across Canada with their inventory
• Pile various sized boxes onto skids ensuring safe, secure, and accurate piles
• Lift boxes repeatedly with a weight range of 1-50 pounds while maintaining strict Health and Safety guidelines
• Drive an electric double pallet truck around the warehouse to fulfill orders with a focus on safe and efficient operation
• Identify and match picked skids with outbound license plate numbers (OLPNs) provided with the order
• Certify accuracy for all picked inventory and ensure orders are ready for shipment within set deadlines
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area
• Support other departments as directed by the supervisor

What You'll Bring

• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards
• Capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs and repetitively lifting heavy objects throughout shift
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment
• Punctual, adaptable, and strong attention to detail
• Able to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
• Must be comfortable working in a cold environment, as low as -18◦ Celsius, for extended periods
• As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in-house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement.

Assets You May Have

• Experience with Voice Picking or Manhattan Warehouse Management System
• Experience driving an electric double pallet truck or similar machine
• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Class G2 or higher driver’s license

When You'll Work

Monday - Friday 11:30pm - 8:00am

Hourly Rate $20.48
