Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Manager, Analytics Engineering for Global Transaction Banking Analytics in Toronto. You will design, build and optimize analytics data assets and self‑serve insights powering dashboards and advanced analytics across North America, Europe and LATAM.

You will lead data pipelines, drive cloud migration, governance and metadata practices while collaborating with Product, Sales, Operations, Technology and Finance to improve efficiency and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field.
• 5+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, Spark, and cloud data warehouses.
• Experience in financial services or GTB domains is a strong asset.
• Ability to collaborate across business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships.
• Execute and deliver on the GTB analytics engineering strategy with timely insights and predictive analytics.
• Design and deliver robust, scalable data pipelines across GTB’s product ecosystem globally.
• Partner with Technology on cloud migration, data governance, metadata and data quality checks.
• Embed data quality checks, lineage, and metadata standards into engineering workflows.
• Collaborate with BI and Advanced Analytics to enable dashboards and forecasting.
• Consider risk appetite and conduct in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
• Ensure day‑to‑day controls meet obligations and promote an inclusive, high‑performing environment.
