A leading consulting firm seeks an experienced Analytics Developer to architect and automate data pipelines for a major utility. We’re currently seeking a skilled and experienced ANALYTICS DEVELOPER to support our client, a large power utility, within the SAP Operations & Enterprise Analytics team. This senior-level role is crucial to the development and deployment of enterprise-scale data analytics services that enable high-volume, high-availability reporting across the utility’s business units.
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who architects, designs, and automates the full data pipeline—from data extraction to transformation and visualization—while contributing to a secure, scalable analytics environment. This position demands deep expertise in SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Azure Data Services, and modern data modeling, with an ability to guide architecture decisions and mentor other developers.
• Location: Hybrid; availability to work onsite in Regina, Saskatchewan is considered a strong asset.
• Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
• After-hours support may be required for certain technology releases.
• University Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
• Extensive experience in SAP BW 7.5, extracting data from SAP modules including MM, FI, PS, SuccessFactors, and CRM
• Proficient in data modeling and reporting into Business Objects 4.3, Power BI, HANA DB, Microsoft Dataflows, and Azure ADLS
• Demonstrated ability to:
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Azure Synapse, and Azure DevOps
• Agile sprint delivery experience
• Strong collaboration and mentoring skills
• Production support and troubleshooting abilities
The Analytics Developer will:
• Design and automate data acquisition, transformation, and loading processes
• Manage data pipelines and code repositories
• Build and evolve data analytics architecture
• Deliver unit testing, production support, and technical documentation
• Align solutions with security, retention, and architecture standards
• Collaborate with solution architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Mentor team members and foster internal capability development
• Implement agile-driven delivery using sprint methodologies
This is a three-year contract role running from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2028, with 100% utilization guaranteed. The role is classified as Senior-level and falls under the utility’s SAP Operations & Enterprise Analytics program.
