**This position requires on-site presence at our Distech Controls offices in Brossard, Quebec, 3 to 4 days per week. The role offers a balance of in-person collaboration and flexibility, supporting a dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment.**
Reporting to the Purchasing/Planning team, this position plays a key role in the daily analysis of supply chain performance, supporting planning activities, and integrating new products (NPI). It maintains a functional link with the Sourcing team and actively contributes to the smooth execution of NPI projects from a procurement perspective.
Daily Analysis and Planning Support:
• Monitor MRP/kanban suggestions, stock coverage, shortages, and planning anomalies.
• Identify and alert on supply risks or deviations from the plan.
• Produce analyses on the health of the procurement portfolio (delays, turnover, overstock, etc.).
• Regularly follow up on urgent matters with the sourcing team.
• Support planners with daily tasks (urgencies, trend analysis, parameter adjustments, etc.).
• Analyze inventory variations.
Contribution to NPI (New Product Introduction) Projects:
• Participate in NPI reviews to anticipate procurement needs (BOM, lead time, MOQ, etc.).
• Coordinate initial component orders for mass production.
• Analyze supply risks related to new products and raise alerts.
• Develop procurement processes according to constraints.
• Ensure that MRP data for new parts is complete and accurate in the ERP (lead time, active suppliers, etc.).
Liaison with the Sourcing Team:
• Provide analytical data to the sourcing team (volume, supplier performance, critical shortages).
• Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
• Communicate field constraints (planning, availability, ramp-up) to the sourcing team.
Coordination with the FFM Team:
• Analyze manufacturing needs / sales forecasts vs. available production capacity within a given planning horizon.
• Work closely with the FFM and planning departments to smooth demand during under-capacity situations.
Technical:
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, formulas); Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (Infor Syteline or equivalent).
• Good understanding of MRP principles, BOMs, and logistics parameters.
• Knowledge of NPI processes, BOM management, and product lifecycle is a strong asset.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (BAC+3 to BAC+5) in logistics, industrial engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to NPI projects.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, multi-department setting.
