Job summary

TD Bank's Global Operations and Business Services group in Toronto is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage data capture for legal information across capital markets trading products and related agreements.

You will liaise with Sales & Trading, Technology, Risk and other stakeholders to ensure accurate term documentation, exemptions management under QFC, and timely resolution of trade data exceptions.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate data capture for legal terms between the Bank and its counterparties to facilitate operationalization of legal agreement terms.
• Update the Scream tables that record, netting status and product coverage for relevant legal agreements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders across the bank and be available to service the deal flow with tight deadlines from global desks to operationalize legal agreement data.
• Partner with TDS Data Change Delivery, and Strategic Change and Initiative Partners to maintain and assist with tactical improvements to the Data Agreement Master and Netting Table in an efficient and timely manner.

Department Overview

The Client Data Services function is an independent and centralized infrastructure control function responsible for the accuracy, integrity and maintenance of client, credit, SSI and Trade Agreement reference data within TD Securities (TDS) globally. The team is comprised of approximately 60 professionals that provide timely and accurate reference data services.

Global Operations and Business Services provides essential risk management and control to preserve the Bank's assets and reputation. For every trade agreed / new product launched / market entered / transaction completed, it is Global Operations and Business Services' responsibility to develop processes and controls for the business to successfully operate.

Role Details

We are looking for an individual who is detail and task oriented and who can liaise with various Stakeholders across TD Bank and TD Securities, interfacing with Sales & Trading, Technology, Risk and other professionals across the firm. Due to the ever changing regulatory landscape with respect to legal agreements, the candidate must be flexible and willing to embrace new challenges.

The position will be responsible for providing best-of-class service to clients of TD Securities and internal business partners by managing the data capture requirements for legal information for capital markets trading products. The candidate will also be responsible for managing and investigating trade exceptions as related to various legal agreements. The Bank contracts with global counterparties for trading products such as derivatives, foreign exchange and fixed income products, i.e. repo/securities lending agreements, ISDA Master Agreements, prime brokerage agreements, related credit support documentation. The position will also be responsible for exemption management under the Qualified Financial Contract (QFC) Recordkeeping regulation, where all financial institutions are required to submit a report of all open QFC positions to the FDIC.

Job Accountabilities
