Position Overview

As an Analyst, you will act as a data steward for various Operational Key Performance Metrics (tenant sales, mall traffic, occupancy/vacancy, and leasing activity) and be responsible for preparing reports and analysis on these areas. You will also be involved in creating and enhancing reporting tools and processes to efficiently provide value-added analysis for Operational KPIs.

Please note, this position is in a hybrid work from home/office program and can be located in Toronto or Montréal.

Key Responsibilities

1. Act as data steward for operational KPI reporting processes, including:

• Ensuring compliance with business rules and procedures;
• Ensuring accuracy of formulas and calculations;
• Reviewing data set consistency (e.g., tenant sales categories);

Prepare tenant/property KPI reports and analysis for stakeholders, including:

• Reviewing data reasonability and accuracy;
• Consolidating operational results;
• Providing variance explanations and historical analysis;
• Contributing to quarterly presentations for senior management and clients;
• Responding to ad-hoc data requests.

Support the Forecast and Budget processes by:

• Managing system inputs and estimates for quality and consistency;
• Analyzing financial impacts of lease plan changes and business cases;

Serve as Subject Matter Expert for new reporting tools, including:

• Supporting and training users;
• Managing implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance;
• Creating reports and requirements, identifying opportunities for improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience;
• 2-3 years experience in retail, shopping centres, or real estate is an asset;
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint, SharePoint, PowerBI/Query;
• Ability to challenge the status quo and recommend improvements;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment;
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
• Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, deadline-driven;
• Experience producing high-quality analysis for senior management;
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager is an asset;
