Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Analyst, Inventory and Equipment for Health Services - Paramedic Services. This is a 13-month full-time, on-site role located at 1600 Bovaird Dr E, Brampton, ON, with an annual salary range of CAD 81,977 to CAD 92,225 and comprehensive benefits.

The position requires a college diploma in business or supply chain management and at least two years of hands-on inventory control experience.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in business or supply chain management is required.
  • Minimum two years direct experience in inventory control/materials management.
  • Recognize asset management concepts and software usage.
  • Knowledge of regional procurement practices and policies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inventory control by establishing reorder levels based on forecasts and usage patterns.
  • Develop and monitor equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist in developing workflow processes to monitor cost control and forecasts.
  • Monitor workflows and recommend improvements for efficiency and service.
  • Collaborate to develop product and equipment specifications for tenders and purchases.
  • Develop operational policies and procedures.
  • Manage blanket orders and contracts, renewals, and RFx processes.
  • Analyze trends to ensure supply continuity of consumables and equipment.
  • Investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Create procurement awards and requisitions, supplier surveys for renewals.
  • Issue and track Requests for Quotation and Express Purchase Orders as needed.

Location: 1600 Bovaird Dr E, Brampton, ON

Hours of work:35 hours per week

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide inventory control by conducting analyses to establish product reorder levels based on client forecasts and historical usage patterns.
  • Develop and monitor equipment inventory and maintenance.
  • Schedule equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Assist in developing information work flow processes and controls to monitor cost control, inventory requirement forecasts and recommendations.
  • Monitor work flow processes and make recommendations to improve the Section’s operational efficiencies and customer service.
  • Develop product and equipment specifications through collaboration with clients and other stakeholders in preparation for tender/contract, purchase order development and implementation by the Supervisor.
  • Develop operational policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and manage (blanket order) contracts to ensure adequate funds and contracts are available and renewals are processed in a timely manner. Develop RFx with Purchasing Associate or for lower-valued contracts.
  • Analyze trends to ensure the continuity of supply of consumables and equipment.
  • Ascertain the cause of problems/deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct research using knowledge gained from multiple sources and analyze findings in order to provide recommendations and advice to Management.
  • Establish contracts for blanket orders or one-time purchases including creating procurement awards and submission of purchase requisitions and vendor satisfaction surveys to commence contract renewals.
  • Create and distribute Requests for Quotation and Express Purchase Orders as required.

What the role requires:

  • College diploma in business or supply chain management discipline
  • Minimum two years direct experience in inventory control/materials management
  • Working knowledge of project management processes
  • Experience in set-up of benchmarks and data collection, analyzing data and writing reports to make recommendations
  • Knowledge of Asset and Asset Management
  • Experience with Asset Management Software
  • Experience with Regional Procurement practices and policies
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Class G license in good standing and access to own transportation to travel between PRPS sites and to vendor locations
