Job summary

AMD in Markham, ON is seeking an electrical engineer to characterize mixed-signal IPs and automate lab tests in a state-of-the-art facility. You’ll collaborate with a team of engineers to validate IPs like PLL, DDR5, and MIPI while developing test plans and delivering clear results.

The role requires a Bachelor's in electrical/computer engineering, strong analog/RF knowledge, and hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum/ network analyzers, and Python tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical / computer engineering with analog/RF knowledge.
• Experience with lab equipment and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of device specifications and signal integrity.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and validate mixed-signal IP circuits for leading-edge Si technologies.
• Automate laboratory tests through software development.
• Develop characterization test plans for IPs to be characterized.
• Execute characterization, collect and analyze data, and prepare final report.
• Publish regular updates to design engineers and collaborate on DFT.
• Work closely with design teams on characterization techniques.
