Job summary

Alliance Employment Services is seeking an AMADA CNC setup operator in Woodbridge, Ontario to set up, program and operate AMADA turret punch presses. You will handle tooling, perform first-piece verifications, read blueprints/CAD output and adjust programs as needed.

The role requires at least 2 years of hands-on AMADA experience, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to meet production targets while adhering to safety procedures. Shifts include overtime as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on AMADA CNC punch press setup and operation.
• Ability to read blueprints, CAD/CAM output, and perform first-piece inspections.
• Experience with CNC edits, tool selection, and setup documentation.
• Familiarity with calipers and micrometers for QC checks; meet production targets.

Job description

Customer is seeking an AMADA CNC set up operator to set up, program, and operate AMADA turret punch presses. Role includes tooling, first-piece verification, reading drawings/CAD output, adjusting programs, troubleshooting machines, maintaining quality and production targets, and following safety procedures.

Must have skills and experience:

• Minimum 2 years hands-on experience setting up and operating AMADA CNC punch presses
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD/CAM output, and produce accurate first-piece inspections
• Competence with basic CNC program edits, tool selection, and setup documentation
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) and quality control checks
• Strong attention to detail, safe material handling, and ability to meet production schedules
• Do you have direct experience setting up and operating AMADA CNC turret punch presses? (Yes/No/expand)
• Can you read production drawings and perform first-piece inspections independently? (Yes/No/expand)
• Are you comfortable performing basic CNC program edits, tool changes, and troubleshooting on press equipment? (Yes/No/expand)
