Job summary

The Original Cakerie in Delta, BC is hiring for full-time AM Setup positions. You will set up and troubleshoot equipment, keep lines running, and maintain GMP hygiene standards across the facility.

We value reliability, mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and teamwork. Pay is $23.91 per hour plus a $1,000 referral bonus, night premium, extended health care, and union pension contributions after probation. Shift rotation is 8 hours for 5 days with varied start times.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Good attendance and reliability.
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Experience using computers and HMI panels.

Responsibilities

• Set up and troubleshoot equipment to keep lines running at or above standard.
• Maintain hygiene standards per GMP and sanitation schedules.
• Daily management of the facility's wastewater treatment system.
• Remove waste from production areas as needed.
• Safe use, storage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Support cleaning/maintenance services when necessary.
• Maintain BRC audit paperwork and other required documentation.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
• Assist line staff with troubleshooting and conflict resolution.
• Adhere to safety, quality and performance standards.
• Support training and continuous learning within the department.
