Job summary

The Original Cakerie, Canada's leading frozen dessert manufacturer, seeks AM Setup personnel for full-time roles in Delta, BC. You will set up and troubleshoot equipment and maintain hygiene per GMP standards.

We offer night-shift premiums, extended health care, and union pension contributions. Candidates should have strong mechanical aptitude, basic chemical handling, good attendance, and the ability to work with limited supervision on a fast-paced line.

Responsibilities

• Equipment set up and troubleshooting adjustments to keep the line running at or above required performance.
• Maintain hygiene standards of equipment and facility per GMP standards and Master Sanitation Schedules.
• Daily management of the facility's wastewater treatment system.
• Removing waste from production areas as needed.
• Safe use, storage and maintenance of cleaning equipment and materials.
• Support contract cleaning and maintenance services when necessary.
• Maintain BRC Audit Paperwork and other required documentation.
• Liaise with staff to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
• Support line staff on day-to-day basis for troubleshooting and conflict resolution.
• Adhere to safety, quality and performance standards.
• Support training and continuous learning activities within the department.

Duties Include

• Equipment set up and troubleshooting adjustments, to keep products within standard and the line running at or above required performance.
• Maintaining the required hygiene standards of the equipment and the facility, consistent with GMP standards and Master Sanitation Schedules.
• Daily management of the facility's wastewater treatment system.
• Removing waste from the production areas as needed.
• Safe use, storage and maintenance of all company supplied cleaning equipment and materials.
• Supporting contract cleaning and maintenance services when necessary.
• Maintaining all BRC Audit Paperwork and other required documentation as may be required.
• Liaising with appropriate staff throughout the shift to ensure continuous process and quality standards.
• Supporting line staff on day-to-day basis for general troubleshooting/problem solving/conflict resolution.
• Adhering to safety, quality and performance standards.
• Supporting training and continuous learning activities within the department.

Candidates Should Possess

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Schedule

Schedules are based on operational needs and flexibility is required for scheduling purposes.

The Successful Applicant Will Expect To Achieve

Proficiency in the proper set-up and maintenance of all equipment.

Note: Candidates will be required to complete a skills evaluation for mechanical aptitude.

What We Offer

• Pay rate: $23.91 hr.
• $ 1000 dollar Referral Bonus
• Night Premium is $1.5 (starting between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
• 8-hour rotation/flexible shifts for 5 days.
  • Monday to Saturday: shift will vary anytime between 2:00AM to 8:00AM.
  • Sunday: 6:00AM
• An extended health care package including dental will be applicable after the successful completion of your probationary period.
• Employer contribution to Union pension plan.
